Britannia Industries shareholders have approved the appointment of Rakshit Hargave as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director through a postal ballot conducted via remote e-voting.
The results of the postal ballot were declared on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at 11:23 PM IST. Hargave will serve a five-year term. The company also confirmed that he will not be liable to retire by rotation.
The board of Britannia Industries had earlier approved the appointment on 10 November 2025 based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Rakshit Hargave Brings Global Consumer Experience
Hargave is a seasoned consumer industry executive with leadership experience across India and several international markets.
Before this appointment, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Birla Opus, the paints venture of Aditya Birla Group. Earlier, he led the NIVEA business at Beiersdorf across India, Africa, ASEAN, and ANZ regions.
He also worked with Hindustan Unilever as Chief Operating Officer at Lakmé Lever. Later, he joined Jubilant FoodWorks, where he played a key role in launching the well-known 30-minute delivery model for Domino’s Pizza in India.
Earlier in his career, Hargave managed the Maggi noodles portfolio at Nestlé India and also worked with Tata Motors.
He holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, which also honoured him with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award.

Britannia Reports Growth in Q3 FY26
Britannia Industries reported steady growth in its financial performance during the third quarter of FY26.
On a consolidated basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 679.96 crore in Q3 FY26. This marks a 16.89 percent increase compared with Rs 581.69 crore in Q3 FY25. On a sequential basis, profit rose 3.89 percent from Rs 654.47 crore in Q2 FY26.
Revenue from operations stood at Rs 4,885.23 crore, reflecting a 9.45 percent year on year growth from Rs 4,463.30 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, revenue increased 2.80 percent from Rs 4,752.17 crore.
