Bareilly-based Focus Netralaya, a NABH-accredited super-specialty eye hospital, has been officially empanelled with the Regional Centre of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) as of January 6. With this development, ECHS beneficiaries residing in the Bareilly and Moradabad divisions can now avail cashless eye care and eye surgery services at the hospital, in accordance with government-prescribed norms and guidelines.
The empanelment is expected to significantly enhance access to specialised ophthalmic care for ex-servicemen and their dependents, enabling them to receive timely treatment without the burden of upfront medical expenses.

Existing Cashless Healthcare Network
Focus Netralaya already provides cashless medical services under several government-backed and insurance-based healthcare schemes. These include the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) health services, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya State Employees Health Scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and tie-ups with multiple leading health insurance providers.
The addition of ECHS empanelment further strengthens the hospital’s role within the region’s healthcare ecosystem, particularly for defence personnel and retired service members.
NABH-Accredited Super-Specialty Eye Care Facility
The hospital operates as a fully NABH-accredited eye care centre, adhering to national quality and patient safety standards. Focus Netralaya is led by Dr. Kanupriya Agrawal, Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist, supported by a team of experienced eye specialists and trained healthcare professionals.
Equipped with advanced AI-based diagnostic technology, the hospital offers comprehensive eye examinations, precise diagnosis, and modern surgical interventions.
Range of Eye Care Services Offered
Focus Netralaya provides a wide spectrum of ophthalmic services, including:
- Cataract treatment and surgery
- Glaucoma management
- Retina-related disorder treatments
- Dry eye management
- Advanced laser-based eye procedures
These services are designed to meet both routine and complex eye care needs using evidence-based medical practices.
Improved Access for Ex-Servicemen and Dependents
With the ECHS empanelment now in place, ex-servicemen and their families in Bareilly and Moradabad divisions can access advanced, reliable, and cashless eye care services locally, reducing the need to travel to distant medical centres.
Healthcare experts note that such regional empanelments play a crucial role in ensuring timely treatment, patient convenience, and continuity of care, especially for senior citizens and retired defence personnel
