Consumer electronics brand boAt reported a 38% year-on-year increase in profit after tax to ₹84.5 crore in FY26, even as its operating revenue declined for the third consecutive financial year.
Imagine Marketing Limited, the parent company of boAt, recorded a profit after tax of ₹84.5 crore in the financial year ended March 2026, compared with ₹61.1 crore in FY25. The company’s profit before tax rose 53% to ₹114.3 crore during the same period, according to a company press release cited by Entrackr.
However, boAt revenue in FY26 declined 4.6% year-on-year to ₹2,931 crore from ₹3,073 crore in FY25. The results show that the company improved profitability through tighter cost controls, better working-capital management, and stronger performance across its wearables and emerging product categories.

boAt Revenue Declines for Third Consecutive Year
Despite reporting stronger profits, boAt’s operating revenue continued to face pressure. Revenue reached a peak of ₹3,373 crore in FY23 before declining to ₹3,122 crore in FY24, ₹3,073 crore in FY25 and ₹2,931 crore in FY26.
This three-year decline indicates that the company has prioritised profitability and financial discipline over aggressive top-line expansion. Its improved return on capital employed supports this shift. boAt’s ROCE increased to 15.2% in FY26 from 11.5% in the previous financial year.
The company also ended FY26 with approximately ₹397 crore in cash reserves and no bank debt, strengthening its balance sheet as it pursues expansion into new consumer electronics categories.

Cost Controls Support boAt Profit Growth
boAt reduced its inventory by nearly 10% to ₹294 crore from ₹326 crore. Trade receivables remained broadly stable at approximately ₹255 crore.
The company also lowered its warranty expenses by around 30% to ₹57.5 crore in FY26, compared with ₹82.6 crore in FY25. The reduction played an important role in improving profitability despite weaker revenue.
These figures suggest that boAt’s profit growth came largely from operational improvements and cost rationalisation rather than higher product sales.
boAt Wearables Business Turns Profitable
The boAt wearables business recorded a major turnaround during FY26. The segment posted a profit of ₹7 crore after reporting a loss of ₹54 crore in FY25.
The company’s other segment, which includes gaming products, cables and charging solutions, increased its profit to ₹46 crore from ₹14 crore in the previous financial year.
Audio products remained boAt’s core business, but the performance of its wearables and other categories reduced the company’s dependence on personal audio devices.
International operations also gained momentum. Overseas revenue more than doubled to ₹45 crore in FY26 from approximately ₹20 crore in FY25, although international sales still represent a small share of total revenue.

boAt 2.0 Strategy Targets New Lifestyle Technology Categories
Under its boAt 2.0 strategy, the company plans to enter and expand across projectors, personal grooming devices, charging solutions and other lifestyle technology products.
The strategy could create additional revenue streams at a time when boAt’s core business faces slower growth. However, the company will need to revive its overall sales trajectory while maintaining the cost discipline that supported its FY26 profit growth.
