India’s fast-evolving food service ecosystem is witnessing a major transformation, and Momentum Private Limited is emerging as a key driver of this change.

The integrated HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) supply platform has reported ₹385.5 crore revenue in FY26, marking a 3.3x year-on-year growth, alongside achieving positive EBITDA and a strong 85%+ customer repeat rate.

The company’s performance highlights a broader structural shift in India’s ₹5.7 lakh crore food service market, driven by technology, infrastructure, and supply chain innovation.

    Strong Financial Performance in FY26

Momentum delivered a standout financial year with:

    • Revenue growing from ₹118 crore in FY25 to ₹385.5 crore in FY26
    • A March exit run-rate exceeding ₹660 crore
    • A projected revenue target of ₹1,200 crore for FY27

This marks the third consecutive year of hyper-growth, with the company sustaining a growth rate of over 226%.

Despite aggressive expansion, Momentum maintained financial discipline, reporting a positive EBITDA of ₹4.7 crore, a milestone for a rapidly scaling startup.

Robust Balance Sheet and Capital Efficiency

Momentum’s financial strength is further reflected in its solid balance sheet.

    • Total equity raised stands at ₹300 crore
    • Debt-to-equity ratio remains low at 0.13x

This conservative capital structure gives the company ample flexibility to expand into new markets and categories while maintaining stability.

Rapid Customer Expansion and High Retention

A key highlight of Momentum’s growth story is its expanding customer base.

    • Over 12,000+ restaurants served monthly
    • Customer base increased by 4.6x in FY26
    • Monthly order volumes crossed 50,000+

What stands out is the platform’s ability to retain customers:

    • Top-tier repeat rates exceed 85%
    • Average Order Value (AOV) doubled to ₹10,000+

This indicates strong customer trust and deep integration into restaurant supply chains.

    Operational Efficiency Improves Significantly

Alongside growth, Momentum has significantly improved its operational metrics:

    • Cash conversion cycle reduced by half to 36 days
    • Inventory holding period cut down to 17 days

These improvements reflect a focus on efficiency, speed, and scalability, critical for long-term profitability in the food supply business.

Founder’s Vision: Building India’s Food Infrastructure

Speaking on the company’s performance, Sidhantt Suri emphasized the importance of infrastructure-led growth.

He highlighted that FY26 marked a turning point where the company’s operational capabilities aligned with its long-term vision.

Momentum is not just scaling revenue — it is building a high-performance supply chain ecosystem where:

    • scale improves efficiency
    • efficiency drives profitability
    • infrastructure enables long-term growth

    Full-Stack Business Model Driving Growth

What sets Momentum apart is its end-to-end control over the supply chain.

The company operates through two key verticals:

    Urban Harvest: Processing and Supply

Handles large-scale sourcing and processing of:

    • fresh produce
    • proteins
    • essential kitchen ingredients

These are transformed into value-added products tailored for commercial kitchens.

    DeliverIt: B2B Quick Commerce

    A logistics-driven platform offering:

    • 4-hour delivery services
    • last-mile supply to restaurants and cloud kitchens
    • operations via dark warehouses

This combination allows Momentum to manage the entire journey — from farm to kitchen.

    Expanding Portfolio of In-House Brands

Momentum is also strengthening its presence through proprietary brands such as:

    • Cocosutra
    • Hello Fresh Water
    • Gupta Ji Ki Mojito

These brands are distributed through the company’s own supply network, creating additional revenue streams and improving margins.

Transforming India’s Fragmented Food Supply Chain

India’s food service industry has traditionally been fragmented and inefficient.

Momentum is addressing this challenge by:

    • integrating sourcing, processing, and delivery
    • digitizing procurement processes
    • enabling restaurants to outsource supply chain complexities

This approach allows restaurants to focus on their core operations while ensuring consistent quality and timely supply.

    Scaling Across Cities and Segments

Currently operating in multiple cities, Momentum plans to significantly expand its footprint.

    Key targets include:

    • expanding from 6 to 12 cities in the next phase
    • reaching 70,000 monthly transacting businesses by March 2027

This expansion strategy aims to position the company as a national infrastructure player in the HoReCa ecosystem.

Growth of India’s Food Service Market

India’s food service industry is on a rapid growth trajectory and is expected to become the third-largest globally by 2028.

    This growth is driven by:

    • increasing urbanisation
    • rising demand for dining and delivery
    • expansion of cloud kitchens
    • growing digital adoption

Platforms like Momentum are playing a crucial role in supporting this expansion by building reliable backend infrastructure.

    Focus on Technology and Innovation

Technology remains central to Momentum’s operations.

    The platform leverages:

    • data-driven demand forecasting
    • optimized logistics systems
    • digital ordering and supply chain tools

    These capabilities ensure:

    • faster deliveries
    • reduced wastage
    • improved efficiency

    Future Outlook: FY27 and Beyond

Looking ahead, Momentum has set ambitious growth targets:

    • ₹1,200 crore revenue goal for FY27
    • ₹110 crore expected contribution from in-house brands
    • deeper penetration into Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities

The company is focused on becoming the default supply partner for commercial kitchens across India.

Positioning as India’s Food Infrastructure Layer

Momentum is not just a supplier — it is building the backbone of India’s restaurant ecosystem.

    By combining:

    • sourcing
    • processing
    • logistics
    • distribution

the company is creating a seamless, scalable platform that supports the entire food service value chain.

    Conclusion

Momentum’s FY26 performance underscores a powerful narrative — that scale, efficiency, and profitability can coexist in India’s food economy.

With strong revenue growth, positive EBITDA, and high customer retention, the company is well-positioned to lead the transformation of India’s HoReCa sector.

As the food service market continues to expand, Momentum is emerging as a critical enabler — building the infrastructure that will shape how India’s restaurants operate in the years ahead.
